Worries as it seems were unjustified – the people at the Grand Masquerade got some first/new facts about the MMORPG.
Best part… almost all of it is just insanely awesome (I can remove a lot on my wishlist ;o))!
Here are some of the infos so far (based on Wodnews and facebook comments) – which could be changed entirely until release (2013 – 2014) since – as previously posted – the game officially is still in “pre-production”:
# One world server, no instancing (Yes!)
# Everyone starts as a mortal, and will be able to choose to become a kindred (or not!) (Incredible!)
# There will be final death for both mortals and kindred (Awesome!)
# Player actions will be the “main driving force behind the in-game metaplot” including dynamic NPC/world events
# Eve Incarna is considered “a prototype”, WoD engine will be much more advanced (Um, what? Eve characters already look better than anything else out there)
# There will be more than one city, one of them being NYC maybe, “hard to say from the wording”
# No day/night cycle, only night (Only bad news)
# Humanity is a trait in the game, attacking others can lower it
# Player will have a haven
# Players can get higher in hierarchy “without killing a single thing, all done via networking, politics and friendships”
# “Only kindred on release of game, no werewolfs, mages, etc.” (Those may be there as NPCs though)
# “Character names over the avatars head by default turned off, but can be turned on”
# Access some portions of the game through a website (and probably with an app as well then)
# Pvp will not be required if people don’t want to do it and is “very different… both more free and more restrictive” (whatever that means)
# A quote: “LARP is the inspiration for [the gameplay]”
Also be sure to check out this forum thread since a user probably will post some video about a “40 minute dance routine that highlights the fashion of the MMO” soon.
